The Luce Orizzontale LED Linear Suspension from FLOS extends rich light across long distances as a modular composition of distinct, handcrafted glass cylinders. Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec work together to create designs and architectural plans informed by nature. Here, nature is represented through the hand of the artisan with a series of glass cylinders that are individually poured and rotationally molded. This crafting technique achieves a robust shape covered in highlight-catching texture. Extruded aluminum with LEDs pass through the extendable, interconnected cylinders to disperse a uniform light. The piece’s hardware is designed for easy maintenance. Fine wires suspend the linear design for a floating look.
